Cooked in Sunseed Oil for a lowered fat content
Did you know a standard bag of Walkers now contains 0.9g of saturated fat, which is 5% of an adult’s GDA? But how’s this miracle possible? Well, it’s because we now cook our crisps in a special type of sunflower oil called SUNSEED® oil. It’s naturally high in mono-unsaturates and naturally lower in saturates than traditional crisp cooking oils.
Lowered Salt content
It’s amazing how little salt it takes to make something taste great. That’s why we’ve been able to reduce the amount of salt in our crisps, without reducing the irresistibility. So a standard bag of our crisps has 0.5g of salt – 8% of your GDA¹, or if you grab a bag from a multipack, there’d be 0.4g per bag, that's 7% of your GDA².
¹That’s based on a 34.5g bag and doesn’t include salt & vinegar (0.8g of salt per bag) and pickled onion (0.6g of salt per bag). Adults and children of 11 years and over should aim to stay within the guideline daily amount of 6g of salt per day.
²That’s based on a 25g bag. It doesn’t include salt & vinegar flavour, which contains 0.6g of salt and pickled onion, which contains 0.5g of salt per bag.
